Teeth cleaning (scaling & root planing) is oral hygiene, where a dental hygienist removes dental plaque & calculus from teeth and from the periodontal pocket area between the teeth & gums. The intention is to prevent cavities (dental caries), gingivitis, and periodontal diseases. Ultrasonic Scaler is used to get rid of plaque & tartar around the gum line and between the teeth.

Root canals
Root Canal is a treatment to repair and save a badly damaged or infected tooth, cracked tooth, deep cavity and traumatized tooth instead of removing it. In RCT the inflamed or infected pulp is removed and the inside of the tooth is carefully cleaned & disinfected, then filled and sealed with a rubber-like material called Gutta-Percha. After that, the tooth is restored with crown or bridge.
